Marchesa gowns are exquisite, dramatic red carpet staples. Metres of silk, waves of pleats, and handfuls of glass beading have resulted in this beautiful dress. Originally retailing at £5000 this dress has had some alterations - and this is reflected in the price.

The silk under skirt has been cut but this cannot be noticed when the dress is worn as the folds of tulle hide this well, even when moving.

The waist tie has been shortened and sewn into the zip line but these seems like an easy alteration to reverse.

There are some pulls to the silk and one area 1" by 1" to the front but, again, this is well hidden when the dress is worn as the fall of the silk compensates.

The beaded bodice is in excellent condition but there are signs of wear to the inner lining of the corset.

The overall condition of this dress is 6/10. It remains an elegant and stunning gown but there are noticeable alterations.
